Degree programmes
- Clinical learning is an important part of nursing education and the New Zealand Nursing Council requires that the student nurse undertake a minimum of 1000 clinical practice hours. Practice experiences are designed to focus on the learning needs of the student nurse and enable them to undertake nursing care with people in any context.
  
  The documents provided below are important components of the student Clinical Portfolio.
  Preceptor Feedback forms can be found within Programme links below.
Preceptor Information for Degrees
- Registered nurses who are preceptors make a valuable contribution to clinical learning for nursing students.
  
  Please click the links below to download documents which support clinical learning.
  
  Orientation to be provided at beginning of placement
  
  Student Objectives for Clinical Placement to be signed and discussed with student.
  
  Attendance Form to be signed off daily
  
  Skills List to be signed off as requested
  
  Preceptor Feedback to be completed, signed and emailed to tutor for that particular year. These can be found under programme links below.

Diploma of Enrolled Nursing
- Clinical learning is an important part of nursing education and the New Zealand Nursing Council requires that the student enrolled nurse undertake a minimum of 900 clinical practice hours. Practice experiences are designed to focus on the learning needs of the student enrolled nurse and enable them to undertake nursing care with people in any context.
